DGWA UPDATE: MINING & RAW MATERIALS
DGWA and Dresden-based mining engineering company UIT GmbH agree to cooperate in the field of project analysis and project support for DGWA’s mining & raw materials portfolio companies
Frankfurt and Dresden, 27/05/2021: Within the scope of project analysis and project supervision, DGWA will in future work closely with Dresden-based UIT GmbH, a leading mining engineering company and subsidiary of the US technology group General Atomics. Within this framework, UIT geologists and engineers will analyse existing and potential DGWA portfolio companies regarding quality and feasibility of their projects and regularly monitor their development.
Site visits of DGWA’s portfolio companies Klondike Gold (Yukon, Canada) and Caracal Gold (Kenya), for example, have already been conducted jointly and UIT was commissioned to analyse the progress of Caracal Gold’s Kilimapesa Mine expansion on a quarterly basis as a first step.
With UIT, DGWA once again complements the circle and quality of its partners and thus ensures an even more sustainable professional analysis and support of its portfolio companies. Unlike the quantitative “advertising” (promotion) often found in the commodities sector through massive social media campaigns, DGWA selects its portfolio companies based on a dynamic selection process, which is now further optimised by the experts of UIT.
Furthermore, DGWA is a member of the Federation of International Mining and Mineral Resources (FAB), the DIN working committee on Lithium, regular participant of the BDI-DERA commodity monitoring, as well as member of working groups of ERMA and EBA.
DGWA focuses on a few selected companies and follows a “quality over quantity” approach in its diversified portfolio of companies.
DGWA‘s portfolio companies had an average share price performance of 113% in 2020.
